Autumn in July?
Hot weather and no rain in London have given London rather autumnal look. Here is Hanwell, near the famous viaduct seen last week.
The rain came in plenty on Friday which didn't really help The Ealing Blues Festival in Walpole Park, I suppose. Saw the muddy venue cycling through the park today...
Ealing Jazz Festival starts this Wednesday and may the weather be kinder to it.

A French girl's new dress
The other day I met two young French women who were trying on many nice dresses at the Octavia shop almost opposite the Odeon Cinema in High St Ken. Eventually, one of them bought a beautiful dress but wanted it slightly altered. Asked if I knew of someone who could do the job for her, I recommended a friend of mine. We tried calling her there and then, but there was no answer. Well, maybe she was busy, we thought. Later on I contacted my friend only to learn that she had a new number. Then I realised that her phone along with the whole bag had been stolen a week or so ago when she was on holiday in Spain...

St Mary's in Hanwell
I took too many pictures as usual and finally couldn't take any of the six-year-old maze at the nearby park or the thatched roof house.
