The entrance to The Vatican Museum is just up the steps from our hotels, so on Saturday we joined the queue to admire the papal riches and splendours.
The purpose of this blog is to share in English some of my experiences in life and to hear about yours. I learnt English as a child and I’ve been teaching it to others so they can live better lives in the English-speaking world. Please contact me if you need help learning or improving your English and/or would like to visit places on and off the beaten track.

A 110 Bus Tour
Having asked at least five different local people, we finally found the temporary bus stop to catch the tourist bus and enjoy the sights of Rome from the top deck. No time to click now! Gotta enjoy The Eternal City!!!!
The Holy See!
Yesterday, busy with travelling, I didn't get a chance to mark my presence here. I have a few snaps from a walk around The Holy See, but the connection here, at the hotel is too weak to add them now.
Our standard room has an unusual design. The ceiling is extremely high window and the small window is high up just by the ceiling! It means you have no daylight. We were truly concerned when we got up today, because it seemed it was very cloudy and dull. Luckily, the weather was perfect!

Can do if I can do!
Good morning!
More if I find a moment!
;;;;
Really hard to find one, but I thought I'd tell you what I went through to get two sheets of paper printed in my town. My own printer has been asleep for close to eternity, so have my friends'. The internet cafes I knew of were long gone. I've heard of a printing facility long way from my place, not so great to get to on crutches and when you're short of time. Thus I googled a phone number of a nearby office, called them, explained my predicament and asked if they could help me highlighting that I'd pay for the favour. There was hope... All in vain though, but that's a long story, too long for tonight. Anyway, after a long time I finally found a place with a 'can do'attitude member of staff! Great thanks to the friendly young man at "Hermes", next to exchange office downstairs! Best of luck with your plans!

Health Care Run news!
Someone very close to me phoned this morning still panting after completing a 10-km run called: "Dbam o Zdrowie" in Lodz - see here: http://www.lodzmaraton.pl/en .While running, he saw a familiar company name on someone's T-shirt, run up to him and found it was his long lost relation who came all the way from Pila to participate in the run! Neat, isn't it?
No picture from the sporting event, but I'm adding googled "Orchids" by Leon Wyczolkowski. I mentioned this eminent Polish painter from turn of the 20th century in my yesterday post.
