Yousif's Visual Prattle

Dear Readers!

Below are the details of my friend's exhibition now on at The W3 Gallery in Acton. I went to see it last Saturday, talked to the artist and was even encouraged to add to the works as soon as I entered! Well, I should have asked a few questions as to what it was all about beforehand... Anyway, go and see it yourselves if you can !:-)

Here are a few pictures I took:

Coming after work in a way was good. Other guests had left which gave us a great opportunity to learn more about Yousif's artistic pursuit. I wish I could come this Friday as well. Will you? :-)

Images from the seaside spot I frequently visit:

Inside La Galerie d'Art in the Old High Street I charged my exhausted phone and met yet another established artist: Frank Magnus Hirshfield whose works are on show at The Oil and Water in London till early July.
I spoke to the people from the owl sanctuary in the main street and stroke this young one on the tummy:
The lady at The Mad Hatter's Emporium told me about her daughter who does history projects in schools.
There was an exhibition on economy on the way. I looked in, surely!

A challenging descent

I took this picture thinking I was half way down the slope going towards the beach. Descending slowly and cautiously now and again I found out that the shore was not so near and the climb down not as easy as it had looked to me when I was at the top. The hot sand was making it very challenging, as I was wearing my... plastic sandals (how clever of me, right?) but I made it!

On a Monday

Magna Carta was signed 800 years ago at Runnymede near Windsor. The document established that nobody is above law, including monarchs. Big anniversary celebrations there today!
...
For me it was an ordinary day. Long commute to and from work, to Putney this time, created some picture taking opportunity. Unfortunately, I cannot read on the bus and sleeping is a tricky option, I may miss my stop and wake up who knows where.
In the shop, as usual, I met many nice and interesting people: couples from Brazil and New Zealand, three young Polish moms and a Romanian girl. The couple from New Zealand were looking for interesting cookery booksas he is a chef and runs a restaurant back home!
