What was going on outside The Watermans???

This is the scene I captured from the bus this morning near the Watermans Centre in Brentford:

If you zoom in, you will see two strange men and an even stranger beast!

Malgorzata's Laws of Creating Reality - 'Odpinanie' at POSK

A good few people gathered at The Polish Cultural Centre in Ravenscourt Park tonight to listen to a lecture on 'Unpinning' given by Malgorzata Wolukanis. She spoke about her special therapeutic method of getting rid of the bad influences that affect our physical, mental and emotional well-being. The lecture was a forerunner of a two-day weekend seminar which starts tomorrow at Hammersmith! In the picture you can see Malgorzata in a dark coat and Katarzyna (in red ) who helped organise the workshop! Bravo, Polish women!

These places in Acton are within a short, less than ten-minute walk:

The south-west corner of the common is occupied by a small playground which was the only suitable area for a walk on the wet day:

Time

 Another book I won't read:

Where to find the time to read as much as you would like to? To see all the films worth seeing?

Guess what?

Barnes again! See you when I get there...

I took a walk at lunchtime and got to the river front in Barnes:

If you go the other way, you will see The Sun Inn sun with a red brick building housing a bank across the road from Barnes Pond:

Rainy Barnes

Suddenly, they needed me in Barnes today as well. Getting there took ages. The road paralel to the river towards Kew Bridge was completely blocked.

Like a good few other drivers, my friend decided to make a u-turn and go towards St Margaret's, via the old Richmond Bridge, and then Richmond, East Sheen and Mortlake where the train made us wait again.

It was a little puzzling to see the firemen enter The ITSU restaurant in the heart of Richmond. There were no apparent signs of any fire and it was a bit too early for lunch...

Waiting for the train to cross our 'path' I had plenty of time to open the window, zoom in and take a snap of this Mortlake car showroom. Well, dearly beloved, I know it is not the same as going to a car show in Chicago. After all, I've been to it once!;-)

The weather didn't improve during the day. Actually, it soon began to rain and was raining more or less heavily all through the afternoon and early evening. I'm too comfortable now to check if it's raining now, half an hour before midnight. Sorry!

Going back from Barnes via Putney Bridge did not turn out a better option. The traffic was pretty solid at times and we abandoned the plan to see a film about Cartusian monks in Holland Park.

'Lovely Barnes'!

These houses in Barnes face The Thames!

I didn't see much of the fashionable Barnes as I was working all day. It was a nice and sunny day, and the Saturday farmers' market looked a great place for grocery shopping!

Old photographs

This book of old photographs captured my attention while I was waiting for a colleague this afternoon:

It is too late to write more.

Cats, scientists, shoppers and a dog.

...
Tonight I saw 'Radiance', a play about Maria Curie Sklodowski's life at The Tabard Theatre in Chiswick.

Earlier in the day I met an interesting woman from The States who was shopping for clothes for herself, her daughter and a little grandson. We had a good time in South Kensington. Two other ladies occupied the fitting room for ages and tried on multitude of garments finally buying a large proportion of them. Few men could rival the patience exhibited by the dog that came with one of the women.
