Days pass quickly

Tonight I have a dilemma. It is late and I feel I should continue with writing about the recent seaside trip, but I also don't want to forgo the current events, like meeting a new Hungarian doctor friend yesterday or a lady whose husband has a wine shop in Askew Road and is inviting everyone to wine tasting next Tuesday. And the highlight of my afternoon: another visit to The Ark in Acton and meeting Yousif Naser, the artist and his friend Hassan, a calligraphy artist and teacher. This was one of the last visits to the Ark premises at The Old Town Hall in Acton, as they need to leave the building in a week or so. The old Victorian edifice will be pulled down, except its front facade and a new structure will be built instead, incorporating the historic frontage. A similar thing is being done to the Old Cinema in Ealing Broadway.`

Having mentioned Ealing Broadway, this week there is some interesting event taking place every day outside The Town Hall. You can listen to live bands, see some artwork and talk to the artists. Should hunger strike, you can have a delicious (I've been told) German sausage. See a few pictures:

Good night!
