Kew Green |
There is a church in Kew Green. It was built for Queen Anne of Denmark in 1714 and since then extended and remodeled several times. A famous painter, Thomas Gainsborough is buried in the churchyard. His grave has been restored after a sufficient sum of many had been raised.
Here you can find a link to tell you about the project. Jeremian Meyer, a miniature painter, Johann Zoffany, a German painter active in England and John Joshua Kirby, a landscape painter, also rest there along with many other famous people. J. J.Kirby's daughter, Sarah Kirby Trimmer is buried at St Mary's Church in South Ealing. She was a remarkable woman. A mother of six boys and six girls she made her name as
a writer and critic of18th-century British children's literature, as well as an educational reformer. You can read more about her
here.
