Where were these pictures taken?

Monday, Monday...

These are photos from two years ago. Any guesses where they were taken?

  1. It's Łódź, so called 'Promised Land' - at the end of the 19th century this city was the worst example of wild capitalism... brrrr... Nice pictures. I hope the people now have much better lives than the ones we can read about in the epic work - 'The promised Land'.

    1. Yes! Bravo! It is Łódź indeed. A lot has changed since the times Władysław Reymont (Nobel Prize for Literature) set his novel 'The Promised Land'. But can the life ever be ideal?

    2. The only constant point of the life is a change. So, in my opinion everything can be better and better... An every next revolution shows us it in the best way.
Without any changes - would people like to live in a cave?

    3. Well, Dear Anonymous, I suppose a vast majority of manhood wouldn't be particularly keen on dwelling in caves nowadays indeed. However, I have read somewhere of a woman who moved to live in a forest hut somewhere in Wales if I'm not mistaken. And she seemed to be pleased with her life there, away from it all.
