SZCZYTAMI GÓR - Skarzysko team quickly up the mountain peaks!

Hello!

No, the three pictures below are not mine, but I like them a lot. That's not the only reason why I added them here and now, though.

I was sent the above picture, and the two below, by Mr Krzysztof Szczygieł, the man of many talents. He took them flying over Łysica on one of his paragliding escapades. Many more of his bird-eye pictures could be appreciated at an exhibition at the local Cultural Centre (MCK) that he manages. However, you won't meet him there today or tomorrow as he is  up above one of  the Polish mountains photographing the three brave guys climbing it, and then the next one and yet another one, until they have set foot (or feet, as there'll be six of them, right?;-) ) on all  the highest peaks of every mountain range within the current Polish borders.

Today, 1 July 2013, is the third day of an exciting expedition of a Skarzysko team. They started last Saturday by climbing Łysica, the mere 612 metres (2.008ft), but still the tallest peak of the second oldest mountain range in Poland: The Swietokrzyskie (Holy Cross) Mountains. As I have mentioned (probably twice) before, they are going to climb all the 28 tallest mountains of each Polish mountain range in the shortest time possible.

This is the link for their live broadcast (subject to the internet availability):

If you are in a hot place, you may like to look at Łysica, otherwise known as Gora Swietej Katarzyny St Katherine's Mount), in its winter robe:

And should you like mountains, here you will see the 28 tallest peaks of the Polish mountain ranges:

I miss hiking. I miss biking. I want my knees well again!
.....

Let me tell you about some people I met in Kazimierz Dolny.

Wieslawa Szymoniak was selling her colourful paintings, also those on glass. I've just found out that she is a truly versatile artist: http://www.przyspieszenie.edukacyjne.fundacja.org.pl/?kat=48&page=2&config=&field=id&order=asc&filter=&akcja=view&id=212
