Margravine Cemetery

Six years ago or so, when we were looking for a flat, we went to see one in Baron's Court. It was near an old cemetery. Today I walked there before taking the train home.

Not at Wembley!

Can you believe that? I'm not making it for today's event at Wembley Arena! Not listening to Prem Rawat speak live, unfortunately. I've just mentioned it to my friend in Athens and she was really surprised. Why? Because she has a few of his CDs at home. A friend from The USA or Canada brought them to her, but she's never listened to them. Now she said she would. I was also most interested to hear about the laughing yoga she and her friend organised for people with children in the park today. It was 30 degrees Celsius there. A family member in Chicago complained about the discomfort of heat combined with humidity there. And in London I am tempted to put the heating on before I go to bed!
Good night!

To Ruislip Manor

I decided to write about another event from last Friday in today's, that is Saturday post. A friend and I went on a little exploratory trip north-west of my abode.

Look at the lilac vehicle in Hanger Lane! Like many other Polish people I learned to drive operating this machine!

Going past this storage place recently I noticed that the cute miniature Big Ben was replaced by a less appealing structure. Now I know! This is to commemorate the 100th anniversary of WW1 outbreak...

Northala Fields with man-made conical hills built when new Wembley Stadium was built:

The first stop was at the monument commemorating the Polish airmen in The RAF forces during WW2:

Then we drove to Ruislip and stopped in the centre to explore the place before the sun went down.
