A privileged life

Each day is different from the other...

On the first day of August my long commute to work got even longer as the bus from Ealing to Richmond was put on diversion and went via Brentford.

There was a half-price sale on books at the Sheen 2 Octavia shop. I was told this is a very good read:

A little boy may be fond of this one:

I know a few people (including the author of this blog) who would like to read this book, but where to find the time to read all the books that are worth reading?

Here are a few dolls from the same shop:

Do not fail to read the commentary here:

And yet more books:

The Polish  shop in Sheen had chanterelles and blueberries on offer:

I met a friend for a late lunch coffee,  a coconut one, believe it or not. It was nice and quite filling. A Japanese barista served us. The other member of staff was half Indian and half Spanish, we learnt. While drinking our coffees at a table outside, we saw this friendly dog called... Bear! It takes a long time to walk bear as almost everybody stops to meet him and have a chat with the owners.

Energised I returned to Sheen 1 Octavia and when not very busy, took a few pictures:

After work I needed to get to Hammersmith, I couldn't believe how quick the bus journey was.

Hammersmith Bridge

Traffic froze for a while in Hammersmith Road as the protesters marched demanding peace in Gaza and freedom for Palestine:

How privileged one is to live away from a conflict zone...
