Key rings, flower fairies and water babies

East Sheen was my destination for today. Here are a few snaps I'd like to share with you:

Very slow traffic on Kew Bridge:

An elderly man came to the shop this afternoon. He needed a key ring. We didn't have any. Never mind he said and took out these from his pocket:

 Somebody donated many nice children books:





 The ballet book had nice illustrations:




The woman who wrote and illustrated the book about flower fairies was born and lived in Croydon. She was of poor health so didn't go to school. She learnt at home, took art classes and then produced this popular little book widely enjoyed by children as well as adults:



In a book about Russia I noticed Russian eggs and took a picture for my friend who collects decorative eggs:
