Equinox

Today it is my turn to travel! I'm hoping to take part in the Equinox celebrations by an open fire, dancing to live music, with Agnieszka Sypek!

I did, but... Getting to the venue turned out to be a huge challenge if you were not in a four-wheel drive (unfortunately, we weren't) and had never been there before. Despite really good directions from the owner of the forest retreat, we first relied on the GPS. That failed us though and after a lot of unnecessary driving trough the bumpy roads filled with water from an earlier downpour, we relied on the notes and got to the secluded place. My friend, who is reading a book on the Polish culture, compared our wanderings to the journey back to the 'pagan' land Poland used to be.
Finally, we knew we were there, as we had to carefully pass by numerous cars parked along the little path between the edge of the forest we had emerged from and the field saturated with the said rain earlier on. In the distance we could see the lights of the campfire and people gathered around it. The hostess came to meet us and led us to the place. Some people took off their shoes and danced barefoot, following Agnieszka and taking energy from the Earth, fire, water and air.
