Friendly strangers

Autumn in Poland is at its best at the moment. Of course, it won't last, so let's enjoy the sun and the golden leaves!

I find the people here in Lodz friendly and open. It felt nice to have a chat with a woman on the bus yesterday. In London, most people act as if others around them didn't exist. Sometimes it is pretty ridiculous when something happens and they sit with poker faces, completely oblivious to the obvious. We are all different...

In Chojny I happened to walk past a school and saw this dog:
Fortunately, the canine didn't have to wait too long 'chained' to the lamp post.

Look at the brightly decorated school building:

Thursday was sunny in warm. A bus that looked like an old tram took me to Manufaktura:

It was an enormous textile factory and now houses a modern shopping and cultural centre. There is always something going on there. For a moment I witnessed breaking a Guinness world record in reciting the English alphabet by the largest number of participants!
