King Harold Day in Waltham Abbey
King Harold must have been a great man. It's such a shame that he had to fight two invasions in less than a month... Did you know that he founded Waltham Abbey which was almost to rival Westminster Cathedral - the greatest achievement of his ruler, Edward the Confessor?
If you are interested in the English history and have no plans for this Saturday, 10 October, you may like to go to Waltham Abbey to take part in King Harold Day. He was the last Saxon king who lead the English at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Beforehand though, you might want to watch a BBC4 program about the successor of Edward the Confessor available here. It'll be the time well spent.
