From Sandgate, Hythe, Lenham to West London

It was nice to travel with a friend enjoying the scenery of Kent.

From Sandgate we drove parallel to the seafront and we would have do so all the way to Hythe if the right turn hadn't come to quickly. Thus we said good bye to the sea and having left Hythe headed towards London.

We stopped for a coffee in a medieval market town of Lenham.

We had the beverage in a spectacular setting. The original 15th century corner house was like a cluster of little shops and businesses including a homely cafe.

This is the coffee shop. It was not cheap, but made exactly to make liking: strong, hot with hot milk, no froth!

Yes, this is a grave at the local graveyard. There are several of this shape behind the local church.

Some time ago we were admiring the size of this tree at the same graveyard. Did it fell victim to the recent gales?

Would you enjoy the view from this timber house?

The 15th century corner house with a coffee shop is to be seen below, on the left.

I have good memories of a tasty meal and most enjoyable service at The Dog and Bear Hotel last year:

Below are some pictures taken on the way to London:

After almost an hour wait for Bus 65 in South Ealing I finally could take the last picture of the day showing premises of The Assyrian Society of United Kingdom:

Good night!
