To Lodz! Napoleon there!

Getting ready for the trip. Do you also hate getting packed?
...
I travelled to Lodz by coach passing though the villages and little towns.

The journey started by a wait for the coach arriving from Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski. Sitting at the bus stop in the hot sun I took pictures:

Then I photographed The Holiest Heart of Jesus Church and a WWII monument next to it from the bus:

Here are more pictures taken en route:

Blizyn church

 Staporkow

 Konskie

Modliszewice - the moated castle deserves a better picture:

 Żarnow church bell tower:

 Sulejow:

 The Pilica River in Sulejow:

 Piotrkow Trybunalski:

 Tuszyn:

In Lodz, almost at the destination:

The last leg of the journey was on foot. I was captivated by the pattern and hues here:

On this visit to Lodz I discovered a proper junk shop and there was, partially obscured by multitude of stuff, a 'maybe' treasure: an equestrian portrait of Napoleon!

You can compare it with a poster found online:
