Saturday in Busko-Zdrój

For a start, pictures of today's bath-room, each of them is decorated with different flower pattern:

Nice... There is some blue sky.Fewer treatments, as it's Saturday, and now I can dash out to catch some sun. It may not last. Here is our window view with an alert cat:

We had a stroll to see "Krystyna". It's a big sanatorium named after Krystyna Jamroz, an internationally famous opera singer with strong Busko-Zdrój connections. One of the rooms in the local museum is devoted to her. We saw it quickly just before closing time yesterday.

Although there was some sun and no rain, the wind made being outdoors a bit of a hardship and we were pleased to go back for lunch. That's when we learn we were to say good bye to one of our dining companions. She decided to leave after dinner seen off by the three remaining co-diners, me and the other two. We didn't manage to persuade her to join us for the coffee as her priority was to get home, to Warsaw, before dusk. (BTW, I just heard from her, first thing she did, she e-mailed me on entering her abode.)
Here are a few pictures of the park in the afternoon sun:

Later the three of us went out again and we walked past The Sanatorium "Mikolai" ( founded by Tzar Nicholas I and built on top of Bycza Gora (Bull's Mount in direct translation) in 1837.

Another villa near the park:

A little rotunda-shaped shop on the edge of the park:

We stopped for a coffee at Zamek Derslawa (Derslaw's Castle). The beverage was just to my liking: hot aromatic espresso with hot milk, the first decent coffee this week.

There is a history of Zamek Derslawa in Polish available on their website: http://www.derslaw.busko.com.pl/page.php?id=1. And here is a useful piece of advice attached to the menu:

I'm back after a nourishing evening meal. Don't come to Marconi if your goal is to lose weight. It's hard to resist generous and tasty portions of freshly cooked food...
