A correspondent in the 1960s Iraq

Yesterday in Putney I met a lady who used to live and work in Iran in the 1960s. It must have been fascinating. She was born in North Eastern Poland and her family left the country in 1937. I hope to meet her again for a nice long chat.

I'm back home from Fulham Rd near World's End. I went there for lunch with a friend and she was glad to see the famous clock that goes backwards. Going along Beaufort Street, we both stopped to admire some unknown to us plant with berries of unusual hues.
