Back from the seaside

Just back from Folkestone with some nice pictures and memories of encounters with local people there: a dad with a cute little girl, an Englishman criticising his country and complaining about no history lessons in the English  schools, a Caribbean man selling fruit and veggies at the Saturday street market and a taxi driver, former bodyguard to The King of Jordan and one of the Saudi sheikhs.
Another observation from the Kent seaside town: unlike in London, at the pub we had lunch, all the customers and staff seemed to be genuinely English except the one who's writing here.

That's the 15th century pub we go past on the way to our regular one:


Weekday lunchtime is not the busiest time. Besides, I avoided taking pictures of any people there.

It felt great to be walking almost without pain again!
