Christmas Eve started with a ride to Warsaw to pick up a guest from afar.
Later, in the evening, there was Christmas supper, the most important meal in the Polish twelve-day festive season.
Sharing a wafer and exchanging wishes before eating. No meat and no alcohol. A spare plate for an unexpected guest. Presents under the Christmas tree after supper. Looking at old family photographs... Quiet and peaceful time together.
