At lunchtime the rain stopped and I ventured out to see a bit of Sheen:

To East Sheen in the rain
It rained heavily and I only noticed that when I went out. Do you know what misled me? The cat! She was sitting on the wall outside when I looked out earlier so I didn't expect it to be so wet.
Paddington Bear was my one of my favourite childhood characters. It really surprised me to discover that not everyone in England has read the books about the Peruvian bear found at Paddington Station.
That day I heard a story about an Italian man who worked on Jersey. When the Second World War broke out he was interned, along with other Italians, as their country under Mussolini joined Hitler's Germany...
