Encounters

It was a long and varied day. Many good things happened. I met an interesting young mother who is setting up an online tourist agency so she could look after her little boy.
A volunteer at Askew Octavia shop impressed me highly today: she played the guitar and sang today. I learnt that she also plays the piano. Moreover, she writes poetry and is a great chef!
And can I not mention a man who is a hundred years old this year and comes to the shop with a lady carer, cheerful and keen to communicate. He used to play the violin with the London Philharmonic Orchestra!
