Miscellaneous

My first picture shows Ealing Green with Pitshanger Manor in the background. The two men going along the street do the job that makes them rather unpopular with car owners. Their task is to find any fault to do with the parking in order to give them a fine.

South Ealin Road:

Kew Road:

Every day you can find new quirky things at Octavia shops. Here is Sheen 2 shop today:

A T.Rex and Marc Bolan top arrived today. The band leader died in a car accident in Barnes, a few miles from here.

One of the regular customers came out with this little male figurine that can lift and lower his arm.

This picture I liked very much. It made me think of childhood and the many fairy tales I read then.

A portion of cats:
 A golden slipper:

If you've always wanted to have a large mirror in an elaborate golden frame, there is a bargain waiting for you at 194 Upper Richmond Road!

What a nice collection of dolls!

My colleague looked through a good few vintage children's books. This one has another cat in it, dear cat lovers!

Two gift-aided coasters that serve as teaching aids as well:

We still don't know what this object is so it was still resting on the desk as I was heading for the other Octavia Sheen shop: Sheen 1. Hopefully, one of our customers will be able to solve the mystery...

Sheen 2 window looks good both from the outside and from the inside!
A wooden couple:

During my walk between the shops I noticed this painted fruit of some sort:

The sun allowed me to take a picture of this architectonic detail:

Funny board by the butcher's shop in Sheen:
 What a man!

Idyllic view, isn't it?

 Any idea what that is?

This mask is rather scary, it 'drops' the jaw...

Peaceful bank of The Thames near Waterman's Centre:

 A street scene:

 Building sites wherever you go...

Almost home... St Barnaba's Church by Haven Green in Ealing as seen from the bus:
...
I cannot leave out an encounter with another artist that took place at Octavia shop.
This tall man was having a good look at our shop and he found a few useful items, including a big piece of canvas that he was going to paint on.He was surprised when I told him that he reminded me of a relative of mine from Poland some years ago: the same height, hairstyle and similar facial features. Why would he buy the canvas? For an obvious reason. He is an artist, believe it or not! And here is Andy's website, if you are curious (like the author of this blog): http://andybleck.de/all.drawings.abstract.html.
